According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cast of Fox’s New Girl will rejoin for one night only. Zooey Deschanel (500 Days of Summer, Harold and the Purple Crayon), Max Greenfield (The Big Short, The Neighborhood), Jake Johnson (The Sun Never Sets, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), Lamorne Morris (Spider-Noir, The Sun Never Sets), Hannah Simone (Clone High, Not Dead Yet) and Damon Wayans Jr (Let’s Be Cops, The Other Guys). will come together at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball on Oct. 10.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, the cast of the series will be receiving the Rising Phoenix Award at the Los Angeles gala, put on in support of Southern California nonprofit Chrysalis. The nonprofit Chrysalis helps individuals navigate obstacles on their path to meaningful employment.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Greenfield will also serve as host of the evening, and Jared Wolff (The Disappearance of Madison Bishop), Banc of California chairman and CEO will be honored with the Corporate Trailblazer Award.
“This year’s honorees reflect the resilience and second chances at the heart of Chrysalis’ work,” Mark Loranger, president and CEO of Chrysalis, said in a statement. “Jared, through his leadership at Banc of California, has invested in Los Angeles where our clients are doing the same and New Girl built seven seasons around characters navigating through life changes and starting over. Every year, Chrysalis helps thousands of people achieve goals they may not have thought possible, and the Butterfly Ball allows us to celebrate their accomplishments while ensuring that even more people have access to the support they need.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 2026 honorary co-chairs of the Butterfly Ball are Greenfield, Betsy Beers (Best Laid Plans, Safe Passage), Rebecca Gayheart Dane, Hayward Kaiser and Susan Harris (Empty
Nets, The Golden Girls), Chris Hart (The Addams Family, Idle Hands), Cynthia and Bob Hart, Rick Hess, Josh Lieberman (The President Show, Barely Famous) and Amelia Williamson; sponsors include The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation, TruAmerica and US Bank.
