The narrative of the upcoming series will take a different path, rather then be bright and cheerful, will take a more gritty route with Nichola Cage (Ghost Rider, National Treasure) playing private eye, Ben Reilly. Reported by Screenrant, the setting of the series takes place within 1930′ New York, in which Reilly has been assigned to look into a bizarre murder case, which will lead him to encounter and confront powerful individuals. Additionally, we get to see more comic-accurate versions of the Webslinger’s most famous villains. This includes Tombstone, played by Abraham Popoola (The Rig, The Marvels); Sandman, portrayed by Jack Huston (Outlander, Their Finest); and Black Cat, brought to life by Li Jun Li (Sinners, Babylon).
