According to Comicbook, recently FOX revealed a holiday trailer for their upcoming comedic adult animated series Grimsburg. The trailer gives an upcoming look at the series and the chaos and gore that comes with it. FOX is known for having animated series that include families such as Family Guy, The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Duncanville, Bob’s Burgers, and many others, but with Grimsburg, the network will be premiering a series with a much darker and brutal tone. The series will premiere on the seventh of January and be part of the network’s Animation Domination block on Sunday evenings.
Below is the trailer for the special holiday episode which will air right after two NFL games.
Created by Catlan McClelland (Ta Ra Rum Pum) and Matthew Schlissel (Best Man Dead Man), Grimsburg follows detective Marvin Flute who returns to his hometown to solve a specific crime that has the town in chaos. A cannibal clown has been terrorizing his hometown where everyone has a secret or two to hide. While doing so, he also tries to figure out how he can prove himself to his ex-wife and son as well as solve the case. In October 2021, Fox ordered the show straight to series and in October 2022 renewed the series for a second season.
The animated series voice cast includes Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), Jon Hamm (Good Omens), Erinn Hayes (The Goldbergs), Amy Sedaris (The Mandalorian), Alan Tudyk (Doom Patrol), Wendi McLendon-Covey (Big City Greens), Kaniehtiio Horn (Reservation Dogs), Kevin Michael Richardson (Young Justice), Patton Oswalt (The Sandman), Rosie Perez (Human Resources), Jaime Camil (Jane the Virgin), Rachel Dratch (Bob’s Burgers), Greg Chun (Squid Game), and many others.
