Fox Developing ‘Billionaire Class’ Drama From Eric Haywood And Malcolm Spellman

Fox is developing a new drama series titled Billionaire Class that is being co-created by Eric Haywood (Law & Order: Organized Crime)  and Malcolm Spellman (The Falcon And The Winter Soldier) , according to Deadline. The upcoming series will be produced by The 51 and Fox Entertainment.

According to DeadlineBillionaire Class is described as “a high-stakes wish-fulfillment drama offering a complex vision of wealth, race and equity in America. It focuses on Jo, a brilliant but disillusioned billionaire’s executive assistant who teaches Miles, a charismatic, fast-talking street hustler, how to walk, talk and act like a billionaire in order to con her employer’s super-wealthy friends into using their money to help the less fortunate.”

Haywood and Spellman will also serve as executive producers for the series, along with Nichelle Tramble Spellman (The Good Wife), Eli Dansky (Hand Of God), Trevor Engelson (All About Steve), Douglas Banker (The After Party), and Maurice “Mo” Marable (None Of The Above), according to Deadline.

The upcoming drama series will be a reunion for Haywood and Spellman, who both previously worked with Fox on the hit drama series Empire, where Haywood served as a co-producer and Spellman served as a co-executive producer. Haywood has also served as a co-executive producer for shows such as Power, For Life, Manifest, and, most recently, Law & Order: Organized Crime, which was renewed for a third season in May. He has also written for shows such as Soul Food, Hawaii, and Private Practice.

Spellman has executive produced for multiple notable shows outside of Empire as well, including Truth Be Told, Hip Hop Uncovered, Bel-Air, and The Falcon And The Winter Soldier.

It is currently unclear as to who will be directing or joining the cast of Billionaire Class. It is also unclear as to when the upcoming drama will be ready for release.
