The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Fox has decided to postpone the premiere of new series Almost Human for two weeks, now debuting the show on Sunday Nov. 17th The hope is to land a larger audience with a football lead in.
Fox moved the Nov. 4th premiere, betting that massive viewership of NFL on FOX will help bolster the freshman sci-fi drama. Almost Human will have a two night premiere as the show will then return the next night, Monday Nov. 18th, in its regular time slot, leading into new hit Sleepy Hollow.
Bones, which moves to Fridays at 8 p.m. starting Nov. 15, will remain in Almost Human‘s Monday slot for an additional two weeks, Nov. 4th and 11th.
Fox describes Almost Human as an action-packed police procedural set 35 years in the future, when police officers are partnered with highly evolved human-like androids.
