Deadline reported that Ramzy Bedia (Of Money and Blood, Medellin), Sean Harris (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Prometheus), Corrado Invernizzi (Ford v. Ferrari, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny), and Noomi Rapace (Alien: Covenant, What Happened to Monday) have been recently added to the cast of Netflix’s series adaptation of the popular Ubisoft video game Assassin’s Creed. The four join the previously announced ensemble cast of Tanzyn Crawford (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Swift Street), Zachary Hart (Jericho Ridge, The Witcher: Blood Origin), Laura Marcus (Andor, Death by Lightning), Lola Petticrew (Tuesday, She Said), and Toby Wallace (Eden, The Royal Hotel).
The fast-paced thriller series Assassin’s Creed revolves around two warring hidden factions – one that fights to preserve free will and one that seeks to protect and manipulate mankind towards a designed future. Characters battle through pivotal historical events, each one vital to the shaping of humanity’s future.
The historical action-adventure video game series and media franchise first launched in 2007, and has since become one of the best-selling series in video game history with Ubisoft having sold over 230 million games worldwide, via Deadline. The series has previously been adapted as a film released in 2016, directed by Justin Kurzel (Nitram, Macbeth) and starring Michael Fassbender (The Counselor, Jane Eyre).
mxdwn has previously reported on news surrounding the adaptation, including the casting announcements of Crawford and Hart, and the progressive development of the series. A series adaptation of Assassin’s Creed had been in talks between Netflix and Ubisoft since around late 2016, with Netflix formally announcing their search for showrunner in late 2020. In 2023, it was also reported that the series showrunner at the time, Jeb Stuart, had departed the production team early in the development process. Assassin’s Creed was confirmed greenlit by Netflix in July 2025.
At this point in time, via Deadline, details regarding the characters of Bedia, Harris, Invernizzi, and Rapace are still unknown.
As stated by Deadline, Assassin’s Creed comes from showrunner and executive producer Robert Patino (DMZ, Westworld) and David Weiner (Homecoming, Halo). Also credited as EPs are Margaret Boykin (Werewolves Within, Side Quest), Austin Dill (The Drop, They Came Together), Gerard Guillemot (Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, Mythic Quest), and Genevieve Jones (A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas, Max Rules) for Ubisoft Film & Television, and Matt O’Toole (Safe, Last Man Standing).
