Fox has landed a 10-part event series called Everest from Alcon Entertainment.
According to Deadline, there are multiple script orders for the series created by Jeffrey Lieber.
The series, produced by FX Prods and Alcon Entertainment are described as suspenseful action drama about a group of hikers who want to conquer Mount Everest. There will be secrets revealed about their reasons of doing this and show struggles they have to face on their journey.
Jeffrey Lieber has been obsessed with Mount Everest and interviewed some climbers. When he realized that he couldn’t do a movie with his story, he decided to do it as an event series.
Alcon Entertainment is also working with HBO on a documentary about Frank Sinatra.
