‘Euphoria’ Season Three Has Wrapped According To Sydney Sweeney

Deadline has reported that after several years of waiting, the third season of Euphoria has finally finished filming. Sydney Sweeney (Anyone But You, The Handmaid’s Tale) was recently on a panel for the film Christy at Deadline Contenders Film when she let the news slip.

According to Deadline, Sweeney’s lips were sealed when asked about the HBO drama series, “You know I can’t say anything, I can’t say anything at all,” but she did add. “I wrapped last week though, it’s very exciting. We filmed since February.”

Deadline has reported that the third season of Euphoria is anticipated to premiere in 2026. Fans of the series have been waiting four years since the last season finished airing in 2022. Season three is set to have the right episodes. Zendeya (Malcom & Marie, Spiderman: No Way Home) will return along with Sweeney,  Hunter Schafer (Kinds Of Kindness, The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds and Snakes), Eric Dane (Grey’s Anatomy, X-Men: The Last Stand), Alexa Demie (Waves, Mid90s), and Maude Apatow (This Is 40, The King Of Staten Island), and Jacob Elordi (Saltburn, Elvis). Coloman Domingo (Sing Sing, Selma) will appear in a guest-starring capacity again. 

According to Deadline, Martha Kelly (Corporate Animals, Spiderman: Homecoming) and Chloe Cherry (Find Your Friends, The French Italian) have both been promoted to series regulars from recurring. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (His Dark Materials, Secret Level) and Toby Wallace (Babyteeth, The Bikeriders) are fresh faces that will be added to the cast. Paula Marshall (Gary Unlimited, We Love You, Sally Carmichael), Sophia Rose Wilson (Euphoria), Alanna Ubach (Bombshell, Girlfriend’s Guide To Divorce)), Daeg Faerch (American Horror Story, The Rookie), Dominic Fike (Little Death, Earth Mama), Melvin Bonez Estes (Fighting To Be Me: The Dwen Curry Story, Euphoria), and Nika King (Greenleaf, Best Friends Whenever) are the additional cast members set to return.

mxdwn previously reported the many delays season three experienced. In addition to rumors of the creator Sam Levinson’s (The Idol, Malcolm & Marie) alleged toxicity on set, the third season saw script revisions. The show also saw departure of main cast members. Storm Reid (The Last of Us, A Wrinkle in Time) opted out of season three, along with Barbie Ferreira (Nope, Unpregnant), whose exit became public during the airing of season two. The series cast and crew also suffered the loss of actor Angus Cloud (North Hollywood, The Line), who died in July 2023.
