On July 31, 2023, the beloved Euphoria star, Angus Cloud, passed away. The causes were unknown when the news was first released, but Deadline has revealed Angus Clouds (North Hollywood, The Line) cause of death.

Deadline confirmed via the Alameda County Coroners office that Cloud passed due to “acute intoxication.” The drugs found in the bloodstream included a lethal mix of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and benzodiazepines. It is understood that the overdose was accidental.

Cloud was only 25 years old when he passed at his family home in Oakland, California. Cloud was allegedly struggling to cope with the recent passing of his father, which occurred only a week prior to his passing.

In a statement back in July, Cloud’s family stated, “Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.”

Cloud appeared as a reoccurring character called Fez on the HBO hit series Euphoria. He was scouted from the restaurant he worked in in Brooklyn, New York and joined the show with no prior experience acting.

He will be remembered fondly for his acting and his heart.
