Emma Stone Set to Host ‘Saturday Night Live’ with Noah Kahan as Musical Guest

Studio 8H is about to get cursed. Saturday Night Live has just announced that Emma Stone (La La Land), star of the new series The Curse, will be hosting on December 2nd with folk-rock singer Noah Kahan as the musical guest. This will be Stone’s fifth time hosting.

Since the conclusion of the SAG-AFTRA strike, Saturday Night Live has increased possibilities for who can host the show. Since actors are not allowed to promote their work while on strike, the show had to rely on either non-union actors, touring comedians such as Pete Davidson (King Of Staten Island) who hosted the premiere episode, or musicians like Bad Bunny who served double duty with starring as host and also serving as musical guest. But since the Hollywood strikes have wrapped up, the doors are open for actors to return to 30 Rock and promote their work. Just recently, Timothée Chalamet (Call Me By Your Name) hosted while promoting his new movie Wonka, and Jason Momoa (Aquaman) hosted while promoting Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

Stone is set to host while promoting her newest show The Curse starring herself and Nathan Fielder (Nathan For You, The Rehearsal). The series is about a newly married couple co-starring in a new home improvement show. As they continue to create said show, and also try to conceive a child, the relationship gets tested by an alleged curse. Stone originally hosted SNL in 2010 and returned to hosting in 2011 and 2016. Her most recent hosting gig was in 2019.

Noah Kahan, who is set to perform as the musical guest, will make his SNL debut. He is known for his hit song “Stick Season” which came out as a single in 2022 and then ended up on his first album of the same name, which he is promoting with the SNL gig. He has most recently come out with a single from the album titled “Northern Attitude” featuring the one and only Hozier.

Saturday Night Live hosted by Emma Stone with Noah Kahan as the musical guest will premiere on December 2nd at 11:30 PM EST on NBC. The series is also available to stream on Peacock.
