A Quebec judge released Emma Roberts after being arrested for a domestic dispute, the Hollywood Reporter announces.
The American Horror Story actress was arrested on July 7 after officials were called to a city hotel “concerning a conflict” between a man and woman.
Montreal police spokesman Laurent Gingras told the Hollywood Reporter that the attending officers spoke to both Roberts and her boyfriend Evan Peters before arresting the young actress. Peters had a bloody nose when police arrived.
“That woman was brought to court, and no charges were pressed on her,” Gingras said.
Roberts and Peters told Us Weekly in a statement: “It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding. Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it.”
Roberts is repped by CAA and Sweeney Entertainment. She is scheduled to appear in forthcoming comedy “We’re the Millers” with Jennifer Aniston.
