According to Deadline, a new commercial aired during the promo for the 2024 Olympics showing Emily Collins reprising her role of Emily Cooper from Emily In Paris. The ad followed after Megan Thee Stallion (Legendary) and Peyton Manning each had their own promos as well for the Paris Olympics. This commercial comes after the fourth season of the show was delayed due to the writer’s strike.
Emily In Paris follows Emily, who is “an ambitious twenty-something marketing executive from Chicago, unexpectedly lands her dream job in Paris when her company acquires a French luxury marketing company – and she is tasked with revamping their social media strategy. Emily’s new life in Paris is filled with intoxicating adventures and surprising challenges as she juggles winning over her work colleagues, making friends, and navigating new romances.”
The ad showed Collins as Emily, says Deadline. While acting as Emily, Collins was pitching to NBC executives that they should have Noah Lyles wear a gold uniform that was created by Pierre Caudault to the Olympics. In the series, Caudault is a character who is a designer. Emily then proceeded to spray champagne towards the end of the meeting, which served as an homage to a client character from the show who was named Champere Champagne.
Netflix also recently teased the upcoming fourth season at the Tudum fan event, says Deadline. Collins was able to answer questions at this event. While Collins didn’t say much, she did tease that the characters would find themselves in Rome. “We have more fun, more fashion, and, of course, more drama in store, while Emily’s heart will always remain true to Paris, her life takes an unexpected twist this season. Don’t be surprised to find her on a Roman holiday.”
