E! Greenlights Four New Unscripted Shows

E! Network, the network famous for its Live From The Red Carpet specials and Keeping Up With Kardashians and its various spinoffs has recently OK’ed four new unscripted shows for the network, according to Variety.

The four new shows are set to be called WAGS: Miami, Cosmo Life, The Abbey Diaries and Famously Married.

Cosmo Life is set to focus on some of the workers at Cosmopolitan magazine and focuses on both their professional and personal lives as they live in New York City. It’s set to be produced by Bunim/Murphy Productions, the same production that does Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The show will be executive produced by Gil Goldschein, Jeff Jenkins and Rob Bagshaw. There will also be two producers from Cosmopolitan, Coles and Holly Whidden.

WAGS: Miami is set to follow the wives, fiances and girlfriends of sports figures, this time in the Miami area. The cast list for the show hasn’t been released yet. The show will be produced by Machete Productions and the executive producers will be Amber Mazzola and Lori Gordon.

The Abbey Diaries focuses on the employees of The Abbey Food & Bar that is located in West Hollywood. The show will focus on the relationships between the relationships between the staff members and will also show juggling with the celebrity appearances at the restaurant. The show will be produced by Banijay Studios North America and the executive producers will be David Goldberg, Caroline Baumgard and Ray Giuliani. David Cooley from The Abbey will also be an executive producer.

For the first quarter of 2016, the network has a 10 percent increase in its primetime viewing. While the network has more unscripted shows than scripted, it’s first scripted show, The Royals, has been a hit for the network and has been renewed for its third season. The Arrangement, the network’s second scripted show, is also in the works.

“E! is known for buzzy unscripted programming, and these four new series will continue to boost our line-up with content that reflects and drives pop culture today. On the heels of a strong first quarter, we will continue to build momentum by delivering more of the stories our audience loves, anchored by larger than life personalities, in over-the-top worlds,” Jeff Olde, executive vice president of programming and development at E! said.

Premiere dates for the new shows have yet to be announced.
