Dwayne Johnson (Jumanji), also known as The Rock, unveiled the first look at the upcoming NBC sitcom Young Rock over the weekend, via Vulture. The series is an autobiographical story that chronicles Johnson’s childhood, teen years, and early adulthood, it depicts how The Rock came to be.
Sharing the first teaser trailer to his Instagram where he has 212 million followers, they got a first look at the three different Rocks at various stages in life. Johnson wrote a long heartfelt caption, writing “ Ladies and gents, here’s your first look at @nbcyoungrock. I really wish my dad was around to see this one. Maaaaan he would’ve been proud. And yes, I was clearly kicking puberty’s ass at 15yrs old and becoming a tequila tycoon by the time I was 10…”

Coming to NBC on Febuary 16, the series stars Adrian Groulx (Mighty Express) as Johnson at age 10, Bradley Constant (Following Phill) at age 15, and Uni Latukefu (Marco Polo) at ages 18-20. Lexie Duncan (VeeBees) will play Johnson’s high school sweetheart, Stacey Leilua (Love Birds) will play Johnson’s mother, and Joseph Lee Anderson (S.W.A.T., Harriet) will play his father.
Johnson also shared an official poster for the upcoming sitcom with a long and personal caption sharing memories from his upbringing. The poster features the three Rocks in their various stages dressed in 80s style fashion. He wrote: “From growing up in the wild (and cutthroat 😈) world of pro wrestling in the early 80s to being accused of being a high school undercover cop at 15yrs old because I was already 6’4 220lbs with a FULL Magnum PI mustache🧔🏾and driving my own car.”
