Drunk History Now On Comedy Central

The web comedy Drunk History which originally appeared on the site “Funny Or Die” will now be on Comedy Central. The pilot episode is to premiere this coming up Tuesday at 10 PM.

The show while online had cameos from different celebrities such as Bob Heder, Michael Cera, Jack Black and more. As of late, the Foo Fighters’ and Nirvana’s Dave Grohl has accepted an invitation to appear on the show. David Waters, the Drunk History creator, feels almost as excited as he does “petrified“.

The premise of Drunk History is a drunken third person story telling of actual historical events in the past. As most can tell, the twist comes with the narrator being intoxicated and fumbling the plot and mumbling the words, just a slight bit. While the narrators who are comedians, historians, or journalist are recounting the story, Waters is then re-enacting the story as told by the narrator with famous celebrities- accurate or not.

On Tuesday, the premiere day, the show will be about the Watergate scandal and the sibling rivalry between Edwin and John Wilkes Booth. The third story to come features Jack Black as Elvis and Dave Grohl and Waters as his friends.

Some critics have said that Drunk History is better in small doses, but the viewers should really decide.
