Dropout, the comedy streaming service known for its Dimension 20 and Game Changer series, has released a new trailer for its next campaign on Dimension 20, the streaming service’s actual play series. The campaign is called Dimension 20: Toylight.

Dimension 20 has been hosting actual play campaigns since 2018 and has created a dedicated fanbase, with many live playthroughs of games being held through the years. Dimension 20 is mainly known for its many Dungeons & Dragons campaigns such as Dimension 20: Fantasy High or Dimension 20: Unsleeping City.

Dimension 20: Fantasy High followed a group of freshmen at the Aguefort Adventuring Academy as they attempted to solve a townwide mystery. The setting, which the description of the show describes as “John Hughes meets D&D,” blends the 1980s small town vibes of films such as Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and The Breakfast Club with the fantasy world of traditional D&D campaigns.

Dimension 20: Unsleeping City followed a crew of magically inclined New Yorkers as they tracked down a villain trying to take down the magical world that lay beneath New York City. The series had the same cast as Dimension 20: Fantasy High, and had a very unique setting compared to many other campaigns, with it breaking away from the fantasy setting found in many Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, and replacing it with the high-rise towers of New York City.

Dimension 20: Toylight will have a complete returning cast of players from Dimension 20: Fantasy High and Dimension 20: Unsleeping City, along with other campaigns hosted on Dimension 20. These players are Emily Axford, Ally Beardsly, Brian Murphy, Brian Murphy, Zac Oyama, Siobhan Thompson, and Lou Wilson. Brennan Lee Mulligan will also return as the dungeon master, reprising his role in Dimension 20: Fantasy High and Dimension 20: Unsleeping City.

Dimension 20: Toylight follows a band of toys as they rise up to defend the enchanted Toylight, the last flicker of a dying child’s imagination. The campaign will use the 2024 edition of Dungeons & Dragons.

The series is planned to have six episodes, and no information has been released on whether there will be more seasons beyond the first. The series will release on September 16th and will have episodes released weekly every Wednesday.
