Dolly Parton (Steel Magnolias) will reunite with her 9 to 5 co-stars – Lily Tomlin (Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In) and Jane Fonda (Barbarella) – in the upcoming seventh and final season of Grace and Frankie, according to CNN. Netflix announced the 9 to 5 reunion on Friday via Twitter.

Grace and Frankie has been running since 2015, and wrapped production of its final season earlier this week. The seventh season will premiere on Netflix in early 2022. Grace and Frankie centers around two women who have kindled a friendship after their longtime husbands leave them to marry each other. Fans of the show have been hoping for an appearance from Parton for years.
It has been 41 years since Parton, Tomlin, and Fonda starred together in the classic workplace comedy film that grossed more than $100 million. The film followed three female secretaries who take revenge on their misogynistic boss by abducting him and running the business themselves. In February, Parton revealed that she had been hoping for a reunion years after the conclusion of 9 to 5.
“We worked so well together on 9 to 5. It’s a crazy wonderful show,” she said. “We’ve been trying to write me in somehow. So when it’s safe for us to actually do a production when they’re back, I’ll probably get around to doing that,” via the New York Post.
