Another WandaVision spinoff series has announced a new character. According to Deadline, Marvel’s Vision has cast Ruaridh Mollica (The Franchise) alongside Paul Bettany (Legion, Uncle Frank). The spinoff series is set to follow Bettany’s Vision, presumed dead in Avengers: Infinity War and later “reunited” with Elizabeth Olsen’s (His Three Daughters, Love & Death) Wanda Maximoff in the 2021 series.
Deadline reports Mollica is set for the role of Tucker. Not much else has been shared about the character. Mollica joins growing cast that includes Ultron himself, James Spader (Boston Legal, Avengers: Age of Ultron), Faran Tahir (The Window, Jin), reprising his role as Raza, and Todd Stashwick (Mockingbird, 12 Monkeys).
Mollica is known for various projects. According to Deadline, the Scottish-Italian actor is set to star in Hulu’s upcoming boxing drama, A Thousand Blows, with Stephen Graham (Bodies, Boiling Point) and Malachi Kirby (Small Axe, Roots). He’s also set to appear in the film Sukkwan Island directed by Vladimir de Fontenay (Mobile Homes, Memoria). His other works include the series Ridley, Sexy Beast, and Witness Number 3. He also earned a BAFTA nomination for the 2024 Sundance Film Sebastian.
Vision will be the second series from the Wanda Maximoff arc after last year’s Agatha All Along. Viewers last saw the synthezoid battling a sinister version of himself, dubbed White Vision. Somehow, the Scarlet Witch’s Vision was able to mentally reboot White Vision, who is now on a mission to restore his memories and lost humanity.
A multiverse version of White Vision was recently seen in the final season of What If…? In episode five, “What If…the Emergence Destroyed the Earth?”, the Eternals failed to prevent the Celestial from shattering the planet’s core. In the wake of the catastrophic event, a tyrannical Mysterioso commandeered Stark technology to rule the globe with his Iron Federation. White Vision served as his loyal and lethal watchdog.
Disney+’s Vision is set for release in 2026.
