

According to an official Disney+ press release, the upcoming Eyes Of Wakanda Marvel series will arrive earlier than expected. Along with the four episode debut getting a release date of August first, a number of other details have been revealed.
The press release’s series description reads “The new action-adventure series […] follows the adventures of brave Wakandan warriors throughout history. In this globe-trotting adventure, the heroes must carry-out dangerous missions to retrieve Vibranium artifacts from the enemies of Wakanda. They are the Hatut Zaraze, and this is their story.”
The series stars Cress Williams (Black Lightning, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Winnie Harlow (The Perfect Find, Alone At Night), Larry Herron (Lie To Me, Law & Order: LA), Patricia Belcher (Jeepers Creepers, Bones), Lynn Whitfield (The Chi, A Thin Line Between Love And Hate), Adam Gold (Vermijo, Wastelander-Alternate Edit), Jona Xiao (Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, Raya And The Last Dragon), Jacques Colimon (The Sky Is Everywhere, The Society), Anika Noni Rose (The Princess And The Frog, Dreamgirls), Steve Toussaint (House Of The Dragon, Shooting Dogs), Zeke Alton (The Callisto Protocol, Moonrise), Gary Anthony Williams (The Crew, Undercover Brother), and Isaac Robinson-Smith (X-Men ‘97, Look Back).
Eyes of Wakanda is directed by Todd Harris (Black Panther, Bullet Train). Harris also produces, along with Dana Vasquez-Eberhart (X-Men ‘97, I Am Groot), Louis D’Esposito (Agent Carter, Item 47), Kevin Feige (Thunderbolts*, Iron Man), Brad Winderbaum (Black Widow, Thor: Love & Thunder), and Ryan Coogler (Sinners, Black Panther). It’s produced in partnership with Zinizi Coogler (Sinners, Rampage), Kalia King (Sheba, Hurricane Katrina: Race Against Time), and Sev Ohanian (Sinners, Judas And The Black Messiah).
Along with this announcement, Disney+ released the first official trailer for the series. The trailer showcases scenes from the adventures of those “sent across the world to do the missions that Wakanda does not want known. The trailer showcases a number of Wakandans who have taken the mantle of Black Panther throughout history. The trailer also showcases an ancient version of the Marvel character Iron Fist.
