According to Deadline, Disney has recently unveiled the trailer for the much-anticipated spin-off of The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, which Disney has just announced will premiere in August. The studio announced the trailer during the Star Wars Celebration in London earlier today. Updates were delivered at the Celebration Stage during the Lucasfilm Studios Showcase.

According to Deadline, Ahsoka, is a Disney+ spin-off of the popular hit series The Mandalorian, the series stars Rosario Dawson (Daredevil) as the main character Ahsoka Tano. Dawson was present during the Star Wars Celebration alongside other cast members and even Jude Law, who will be leading a different Spin-off, Skeleton Crew.
The new series is written by Star Wars Rebels co-creator Dave Filoni (Star Wars Resistance) and executive produced by Filoni and Jon Favreau (Iron Man). The series will dive further into the lore of Ahsoka who was first introduced into the franchise in 2008, in the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The character is later seen in the animated series with the same title as the film. In the series, the character is a young Padawan being trained by Anakin Skywalker. The character’s first live action appearance was in season two of The Mandalorian.

Cast of the upcoming series includes Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), Ray Stevenson (Thor), Natasha Liu Bordizzo (The Voyeurs), Eman Esfandi (Red 11), Ivanna Sakhno (The Reunion), and Hayden Christensen (Jumper) who will be reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker.
Ahsoka will premiere on Disney+ in August 2023.
