Disney+ Releases New Set Photos, Teaser For ‘The Book Of Boba Fett’

Disney+ has released new set photos and a teaser for the upcoming spinoff of The Mandalorian, entitled, Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett, according to Comicbook. The series will premiere on the streamer on December 29.

In The Book of Boba Fett, bounty hunter Boba Fett, played by Temuera Morrison (Moana), must lead a community once he returns to the territory of Tatooine, after the reign of Jabba the Hutt.

“There is a power vacuum,” Jon Favreau (Chef), said about Boba Fett, via Comicbook. “Because Jabba is gone. Jabba was clearly a very strong and imposing leader, who people were very scared of, and who seemed to rule with an iron fist. You pull somebody like that out of the ecosystem of Tatooine – and Hutt Space in general – and you have the opportunity that’s ripe in the gangster genre.”

The upcoming series is said to pick up after the post-credits scene in the conclusion of the sophomore season of The Mandalorian. The trailer shows Fett revealing the end of his era as a bounty hunter. He says that, compared to his predecessor, he “intends to rule with respect.”

“Although Boba Fett is a very experienced bounty hunter, he’s not experienced at running a criminal syndicate or managing forces,” Favreau said, via Comicbook. “He’s not normally a newcomer. He’s an expert as we see him in most areas. But in this case, he’s trying to transition to another position.”
