They scare because they care! Except now, they’re after laughter. Monsters Inc.‘s Sulley and Mike are back in a brand new sneak peek of the upcoming Disney+ series, Monsters At Work. According to Screen Rant, Monsters At Work will follow the duo as they lead the charge to switch Monsters Inc. from a provider of scream energy to the lead supplier of laugh energy.
In the trailer, Roz (voiced by Bob Peterson, Up) promotes Mike and Sulley to the head of the Child Detection Agency (CDA), via Screen Rant. John Goodman (The Conners) and Billy Crystal (When Harry Met Sally) will reprise their roles as Sulley and Mike, respectively. A brand new character named Tyler Tuskmon, who will be voiced by Ben Feldman (Superstore), applies to be a scarer after being inspired by Mike and Sulley, only to be placed on the Monsters Inc. Facility Team, or MIFT. As a part of MIFT, Tyler will meet the other misfit bunch of monsters working to repurpose the series’ iconic doors.

The last time fans saw Mike and Sulley on-screens was in the 2013 film Monsters University, which was Pixar’s first prequel film, according to Screen Rant. Monsters University showed how the monstrous due met, as well as their journey to become the top scaring team at Monsters Inc. in the 2001 film.
While both Goodman and Crystal are reprising their roles, several new stars have lended their voices to the upcoming series. According to Screen Rant, Mindy Kaling (actor and writer, The Office) will be voicing Val Little, Alanna Ubach (Coco) will voice Cutter, and Henry Winkler (Arrested Development) will play Fritz. These new stars will be the focus of the series, with Mike and Sulley’s promotion to heads of the CDA keeping them out of the main storyline’s spotlight.
Monsters At Work is set to premiere on July 2 and will be exclusively streaming on Disney+.
