Another big name has joined Cinemax’s Quarry. After last week’s news that Stellan Skarsgard would be taking on a central role in the drama pilot, Mary Elizabeth Winstead has signed on as Joni, the title character’s wife.
Described as “one of the few who stands by her husband after he returns from the Vietnam War” by the Wrap, Winstead will be playing opposite Logan Marshall-Green.
Winstead earned critical acclaim for her performance in last year’s “Smashed”. She has also appeared in “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” and the past two “Die Hard” films.
Quarry joins the Knick as one of Cinemax’s high-profile upcoming drama projects, with John Hillcoat and Steven Soderbergh set to direct, respectively.
