As TVLine reports, the actor just joined ABC’s new summer series.
The show, which is set to air during Summer 2014 and will have 10 episodes, is about a group of women who are really close because their husbands are all astronauts.
Harrington will play Alan Shepherd, who was the first American in space.
Other names confirmed for the series are JoAnna Garcia-Swisher, Odette Annable, Zoe Boyle and Azure Parsons, each playing one of the wives.
Best known for his role as Detective Joey Quinn in Dexter, Desmond Harrington has also played Jack Bass in Gossip Girl. Other minor roles in shows such as Rescue Me and Sons & Daughters.
