Emmy nominee Dennis Quaid (Goliath) has boarded HBO Max’s upcoming limited series, Full Circle, from Academy Award-winning director Steven Soderbergh (High Flying Bird), per Deadline. The series will follow an investigation of a thwarted kidnapping attempt that uncovers deep secrets involving cultures and individuals in New York City.
Deadline reports that Quaid is rumored to star as a famous television chef whose grandson is targeted in a kidnapping attempt. He joins previously announced leading cast members, including Emmy Award nominee Zazie Beetz (Atlanta), three-time Emmy Award winner Claire Danes (The Essex Serpent), and Emmy Award nominee Timothy Olyphant (Santa Clarita Diet).
Allegedly, Beetz will star as a U.S. Postal service inspection agent; Danes will play Sam, a Manhattan attorney fleeing her father’s business, and Olyphant will play Derek, Sam’s husband. Soderbergh will direct Full Circle and executive produce alongside his frequent collaborators Ed Solomon (Mosaic) and Casey Silver (Godless).
Quaid’s recent credits include Ray Giarratana’s The Tiger Rising, Andrew and Jon Erwin’s American Underdog, Netflix’s Blue Miracle, Alex Ranarivelo’s Born a Champion, and Netflix’s Merry Happy Whatever. He will star opposite Kiera Allen (Run) in the upcoming film, Littlemouth, by director and writer Jonathan Sobol (The Padre).
HBO Max has yet to confirm a release date for Full Circle.
