According to Comicbook, the Studio Trigger anime Delicious in Dungeon will be streaming on Netflix weekly after its premiere. The series is scheduled to air on the streamer on January fourth of the upcoming year. The series will be simuldub on Netflix simultaneously as Japan airs it with both the Japanese and English versions being available.
The series is based on a 2014 manga by author Ryoko Kui (Seven Little Sons of the Dragon: A Collection of Seven Stories ) and has been adapted into anime form. The manga series came to a close earlier this year and many fans are excited for the anime adaptation.
Below is the Netflix trailer for Delicious in Dungeon.
According to Comicbook, the synopsis for the series is as follows, “When young adventurer Laios and his company are attacked and soundly thrashed by a dragon deep in a dungeon, the party loses all its money and provisions…and a member! They’re eager to go back and save her, but there is just one problem: If they set out with no food or coin to speak of, they’re sure to starve on the way! But Laios comes up with a brilliant idea: “Let’s eat the monsters!” Slimes, basilisks, and even dragons…none are safe from the appetites of these dungeon-crawling gourmands!”
The series joins a long line of anime licenses that Netflix has obtained over the years from Devilman Crybaby, High-Rise Invasion, Baki, The Seven Deadly Sins, Little Witch Academia, and Violet Evergarden. The streamer also has obtained original live-action adaptations of anime such as One Piece, Cowboy Bebop, and recently Yu Yu Hakusho.
Delicious in Dungeon will start airing episodes on Netflix on January fourth and will be available on the streamer in both Japanese and English dub and sub.
