DC Universe Stargirl will premiere on the CW and also is very likely to be introduced in the upcoming Crisis on Earths crossover. CW will bring to life her character from the comics, and her first main feature in the ambitious television event will star her off as a key player in the DC Universe among others like Flash and Arrow.

In the comics, she was known as Courtney Elizabeth Whitmore, and she appeared first in Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. #0 in July 1999. The origins of both her name and design were hinted to be a tribute to the creator’s (Geoff John) sister who perished in a plane accident.
Stargirl’s journey depicts Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore in her high school years. She’ll go above and beyond and inspire an unlikely group of heroes to stop villains in the past. Other cast members include Luke Wilson and Amy Stuart. It’s currently unknown as to whether or not the show will be require heavy edits off air before it’s public release, but there are rumors that it is more family-friendly compared to other DC shows.
The CW is home to many DC extensions which feature popular shows like Arrow, Flash, and Batwoman. Bringing in Stargirl is another exciting contribution to the meticulously established crossover event, Crisis on Infinite Earths. Connecting her story to theirs in the grand scheme of things is an interesting tool to bring their heroic roles into perspective.
At the moment, there are five shows tied to the crossover, but DC is revealing little by little how each character plays a bigger role through the live-action on screen. Among these shows, Stargirl’s future cameo makes her another important figure in the epic television story event. After their publication, the show will air on the CW after first debuting on the DC streaming platform, and will continue to put out episodes weekly
