

The showrunner for the series Schitt’s Creek‘s Dan Levy (Big Mistakes, Lilith Fair: Building a Mystery) has revealed in an interview that he was planning on making a sequel series to the beloved series. However, this was before the passing of well renowned actress Catherine O’Hara (The Studio, The Last of Us).
According to Deadline, Levy issued this statement on CBS Sunday Mornings’ “‘Yeah, I was thinking about it,’ the writer-producer said of a potential sequel. ‘It’s tough, it’s tough being back. I didn’t think that I’d have quite an emotional reaction.’ He tearfully added of his feelings: ‘Just a lot of memories, a lot of memories with Catherine. It’s what you have to hold on to, is the memories of it all.’ ‘And an incredible clip reel,’ Mason said, to which Levy added: ‘Listen, for someone who was not on the internet, she knew how to meme.’”
For those who don’t know, Schitt’s Creek is a series that tells a story about how Johnny Rose and his family become the victims of fraud, and how they go from being extremely wealthy to being penniless overnight. Their only asset left to them is a small town named “Schitt’s Creek” and thus the family must relocate their and adjust to their new environment. The series gives a comedy and sitcom like aesthetic and is also known for its character development.
