According to Comicbook, FOX has recently announced when many can catch Dan Harmon’s new animated series Krapopolis. Harmon is known for creating many things, such as Community and Rick and Morty. The series is set in mythical ancient Greece and tells the story of a dysfunctional family of humans, gods, and even monsters. The series is scheduled to premiere on FOX on Sunday, September 24th, right after FOX NFL.
According to Comicbook, after its two-episode preview, the animated series will be joining FOX’s Animation Domination block with its own time-slot on Sunday, October 1st. The series will then air weekly right after The Simpsons and before Bob’s Burgers. The series also continues the FOX trend of having animated series that revolves around families and their hilarious adventures.
Krapopolis was created and executive produced by Harmon alongside Steve Levy (Parental Guidance). FOX’s Bento Box Entertainment will be producing the series, which has already been renewed up to season three before the first season has even been shown. Jordan Young (BoJack Horseman) will be executive producing as well as being the showrunner for the first season. Alex Rubens (Key and Peele) is executive producing and showrunner for seasons two and three of the series.
The series follows the dysfunctional adventures of a family that consist of humans, gods, and monsters. The family tries to join together to functionally run one of the world’s first cities without killing one another. The series’ voice acting cast includes Richard Ayoade (The IT Crowd), Mat Berry (What We Do in the Shadows), Hannah Waddingham (How to Lose Friends & Alienate People), Pam Murphy (Monsters University), Duncan Trussell (The Midnight Gospel), Pia Shah (Grey’s Anatomy), and many others.
Krapopolis premieres on FOX Sunday, September 24th, right after FOX NFL.
