D23: Marvel Television Teases ‘Ironheart’, ‘Agatha All Along,’ And ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ At Disney’s Entertainment Showcase

The announcements continued Friday evening at Disney’s D23 Fan Event. The entertainment conglomerate saved Marvel Studios properties for the latter half of the two-hour Disney Entertainment Showcase. Within those 20-odd minutes, fans received updates on the long-awaited Iornheart series, a new trailer for September’s Agatha All Along, and story news for Daredevil: Born Again.

Black Panther director Ryan Coogler (Creed) and star Dominique Thorne (Judas and the Black Messiahintroduced updates on the series starring Thorne’s MCU character, Riri Williams.  The last we saw the world kid genius, she traveled back home to Chicago after the battle in Wakanda. According to IGN, footage at the event revealed clip of Riri crossing paths with series adversary The Hood aka Parker Robbins played by Anthony Ramos (Twisters, In the Heights). Robbins propositions Riri to join him telling her, “anyone who has accomplished anything has to do things questionable. Are you in or out?” The series is set for a 2025 release.

Joining Ironheart in 2025 is the highly anticipated return of Hell’s Kitchen hero, Matt Murdock, in Daredevil: Born Again. The spiritual sequel to the original Netflix series finds Charlie Cox (Treason, Stardust) and Vincent D’Onofrio (Law & Order: Criminal Intent, The Godfather of Harlem) reprising their roles as Daredevil and Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin. This time, the two enemies must join forces to defeat a larger threat, confirmed to be the character Muse. Muse is a villain first introduced in 2016 by Ron Garney (Captain America, Spider-Man: Back in Black) and Charles Soule (Star Wars: Dark Droids, Death of Wolverine). The serial killer finds appeal in creating art with his victims’ blood and possesses super sensory abilities comparable to Daredevil as well as super strength. Another new character to be featured is White Tiger, a female heroine who has battled evil in New York City; there is no word on who is portraying the role.

In addition to this news, Cox and D’Onofrio were joined on stage by returning cast members Jon Bernthal (The Bear, We Own This City), Deborah Ann Woll (True Blood, Escape Room), and Elden Henson (The Butterfly Effect, Idle Hands), who are returning as Frank Castle aka The Punisher, Karen Page, and Foggy Nelson respectively. There is also leaked footage of trailer they premiered. The trailer includes a first look at Wilson Bethel’s (All Rise, Hart of Dixie) Bullseye. Daredevil: Born Again is slated for a March 2025 release with production on season two beginning soon.

Lastly in the TV realm, fans received a new song from Kathryn Hahn (How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Tiny Beautiful Things) before a new trailer for Agatha All Along was previewed. You can view the trailer below for the series coming September 18.
