CW Sets Fall Premieres, Including ‘Supergirl’ and ‘Arrow’

The CW has joined the other broadcast networks that have announced their schedules for next fall.  As reported by Deadline, for the second year in a row, superhero drama The Flash leads off the premieres on October 4th.  The network is clearly pushing new series, No Tomorrow, because they are premiering the series following hit The Flash on October 4th.  No Tomorrow is comedic drama based on a Brazilian series Como Aproveiter o Fim do Mundo (How to Enjoy the End of the World) that follows a young woman who, with the help of a free-spirited man, goes on a quest to fulfill a bucket list before the end of the world.

Next on the roster is superhero drama, Arrow, which premieres October 5th and is followed by new series, FrequencyFrequency is inspired by a Gregory Hoblit film of the same name and follows a detective, who is able to speak to her dead father via a ham radio.  Together, they work to figure out the truth behind an unsolved murder case.

On October 10th, Supergirl premieres.  The series following the eponymous lady superhero aired its first season on CBS, but when CBS cancelled the series, it was picked up by the CW.  As earlier reported, the second season premiere of Supergirl will hopefully get a bump, because the show will feature Supergirl’s rather famous cousin, Superman, who will be played by Tyler Hoechlin.  Following Supergirl, the CW will rerun the pilot episode of No Tomorrow, again showing their dedication to the successful premiere of the freshman show.

Next, on October 13th, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, a continuation in the network’s DC universe of series, will premiere.  Following that, the network will premiere Season 12 of hit supernatural drama, Supernatural.  After that, on October 17th, Supergirl will air its second episode, and then the network will premiere award-winning dramedy Jane the Virgin, starring emmy-winning actress Gina Rodriguez.

Last, but certainly not least, on October 21st, the network will premiere sexy drama The Vampire Diaries.  After that, the musical romantic comedy, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend premieres, rounding out the CW’s fall schedule.
