‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Possibly Ending on Season 12

According to ScreenRant, Curb Your Enthusiasm might be concluding with a twelfth and final season set to debut in late 2023. The show’s creator Larry David (The Three Stooges, Hannah Montana, Entourage), mostly known for his cynicism and sarcasm as well as his hit sitcom in the 90’s Seinfeld, has not confirmed any information about Curb Your Enthusiasm finishing, however tweets from producers and actors point to the contrary.

On March 28th, Curb Your Enthusiasm producer, Jon Hayman (The Chris Rock Show, Seinfeld, It’s Like You Know…), posted a tweet reminiscing over the show and stating they are at the end of their rope with the long-running sitcom. “Maybe you love the show. Maybe you hate the show. Maybe you don’t give a shit. In any event, shooting the last scene of the last episode of the final season.” The tweet was taken down post-haste causing fans to wonder if this will be Larry’s last laugh on the show.

Reoccurring character Richard Lewis (Robin Hood: Men in Tights, BoJack Horseman, Daddy Dearest), playing himself, also posted a tweet the other day with a similar tone to Hayman’s but not as forthright with actual information about the show. Lewis says, “There I was a few hours ago in my trailer on location to shoot my last scene of #Curb12. Hard to believe we started in 2000. The cast and crew all knew we were working for a genius. When that rarity happens, no one ever takes a moment for granted. We love you LD.”

Curb Your Enthusiasm initially started over two decades ago, in 2000, two years after the series finale of Seinfeld in 1998. HBO picked up David’s newest show and ran eight continuous seasons spanning to 2011. From that point, David decided to take a break after constantly writing for several years in his old age. The show continued again with season nine debuting in 2017. Seasons 10 and 11 came out respectively in 2020 and 2021, with season number twelve coming later this year.

David’s efforts of Curb Your Enthusiasm have been well rewarded as they have received high praise for almost every season released even if there were some major gaps in the release schedule. They have kept true to their plot lines and overall premise/theme of the show remaining fresh and beloved for over 20 years.

Now fans just have to wait and see how the newest and possibly final season of Curb Your Enthusiasm holds up to the previous shenanigans of Larry and his pack of miscreant Hollywood pals. The first eleven seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm are currently streamable on HBO Max.
