Critical Hit Of Chaos: ‘The Mighty Nein’ Official Trailer Unveils Exandria’s Outcast Heroes

An official trailer has been release for Critical Role’s upcoming animated series, The Mighty Nein which is based on their second campaign was revealed at San Diego comic-con. According to mxdwn, the plot of the series takes places 20 years later and focuses on a group of misfits, who must band together to stop evil forces from using a powerful relic known as beacon and bringing destruction to Exandria.

The group in question will consist of Fjord, half-orc warlock/paladin, voiced by Travis Willingham (Avengers Aseemble, Full Metal Alchemist), Jester, tiefling cleric, voiced by Laura Bailey (Soul Eater, Fruits Basket), Caleb, a human wizard, voiced by Liam O’Brien (Naruto Shippuden, Tiger & Bunny), Nott, agoblin rogue, voiced by Sam Riegel (Blue Excorsist, K: Missing Kings), Beau, a human monk, voiced by Marisha Ray (Exandria Unlimited, Candela Obscura) Kingsley, tielfing blood hunter, voiced by Taliesin Jaffe (4-Sided Dive, DearS) and Yahsha, an aasimar barbarian voiced by Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us, Ben 10:Ultimate Alien).

The trailer ups with the mysterious group activating the device, but then one of their own steals and takes its far away, until they encounter the titled group and hands them the object. We also get glimpses into the dangerous journey and obstacles they will encounter. Along their journey they will meet intriguing characters that could eight aid or block them which includes Darion, voiced by Matthew Mercer (Sakmoto’s Day, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean).

According to Prime Video, the upcoming season will have giant wave of celebrity actors adding their voices, for instances Nathan Fillion (the Rookie, Castle), Felicia Day (Supernatural, Eureka) and Ivanna Sankho (Ahsoka, M3GAN 2.0). Production of the series will be done by titmouse productions, which were the same team that produce the prior animated series.

The Mighty Nein is set to release on November 19, and while viewers await all seasons of Critical Role’s previous series, The Legends of Vox Machinia are available to stream on Prime Video. With such an enormous casting, the series is poised to deliver an exciting journey and resonate with viewers within the Critical Role Universe.
