Creators Of HBO’s ‘Westworld’ Wouldn’t Tell Evan Rachel Wood How The Series Would Of Ended

According to TVLine, the creators of the HBO sci-fi series Westworld wouldn’t even tell series star Evan Rachel Wood (Whatever Works) how the show would have ended. After the series was canceled before it had an opportunity to have fifth installment many, wondered what would have happened in the season but not more than Wood who was kept in the dark by creators Jonathan Nolan (The Dark Knight) and Lisa Joy (Fallout)

According to TVLine, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Wood expressed her feelings on the cancellation. Wood said, “The cancellation was devastating in a lot of ways because, first of all, they don’t tell us where the show is going. We were just always told, ‘We know how the show ends,’ when we started. They weren’t writing it as we went along. They had an idea, and we were all just on a bed of nails waiting to see and hear what the conclusion of this was. What it all meant.”

Wood continued, “I asked the creators after we got cancelled, ‘Can you please just tell me how you’re going to end?’ And they wouldn’t tell me. I think because, I don’t know, maybe somehow, someway, in some iteration we’ll get to finish it, but I still don’t know. It does still keep me up at night.”

Westworld is a sci-fi series set in the near future in which many individuals can indulge in their appetites without consequence.
