Shirley Bennett is making her way from Greendale Community College to the Santa Barbara Police Department: TVLine reports that Yvette Nicole Brown is set to guest star in an episode of the upcoming season of Psych.
Series star Dulé Hill was the first to announce the casting via Twitter, though he did not share any details about Brown’s role. The Community actress has previously made guest appearances on a variety of shows, from Victorious to Chuck.
Psych’s upcoming eighth (and likely final) season was recently expanded from eight episodes to ten. Viewers have been given the option to choose the story-line they would most like to see in one of those additional episodes, and voting is still open on the USA website.
The winner of the poll will be announced at San Diego Comic-Con, where the series’ cast and crew will be present for a panel. USA will also offer an exclusive screening of Psych’s musical episode, set to air this winter.
