Comedy Central Gives ‘Tosh.0’ Three-Year Renewal

Comedy Central renewed Daniel Tosh’s Tosh.0 for another three years.

According to Deadline, Tosh.0’s sixth season, the first season of the three-year deal, will have 30 episodes and premieres February 18. The fifth season wrapped up on December 11.

“We believe Tosh.0 has the potential to resonate with our audience, and we want to give it time to connect,” Kent Alterman Comedy Central’s president said. Tosh commented, “I am extremely fortunate and very grateful that I can continue to work with such fun and talented people on a very supportive network. Sorry for the lack of snark – I will leave that open for the comments section.”

Tosh.0 ranked as #1 entertainment series for Tuesday nights among the male demographic age 18-24. The show pulls in around 3.0 million viewers and of those 2.2 are adults 18-49. Comedy Central offers three-year renewals to its top performers only. Other series obtaining multi-year orders are South Park, with a three-season pickup, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report.
