Netflix has found its lead for the new series Myron Bolitar. The lead will Colin Woodell (I Love LA, Chad Powers) and he is not the only actor tied to the project. Joining Woodell is KJ Apa (The Summer Oath, Let’s Have Kids!) and Diane Guerrero (The Lincoln Lawyer, Me Sometimes Always).
For those who don’t know, ‘Myron Bolitar’ is a series based on the book series under the same name. The series follows a character named Myron Bolitar, a former pro baasketball player who later becomes a sports agent after suffering from an injury and dedicates himself into solving mysteries. Myron must use his charm and wits in order to navigate through the world of high stakes and dirty world of sports.
According to Deadline, Woodell will play Myron Bolitar who has built his own buisness, MB Sports. Apa will play Win Lockwood, a man who was born into privilege and decided to walk away from the business to help his friend Bolitar. Whenever the clients are in any kind of trouble Bolitar goes to Lockwood for help. Guerrero will play the cjaracer Esperanza Diaz, a former professional wrestler turned into Bolitar’s right hand at MB Sports. Esparanza serves as the backbone of the agency and the steady force keeping both Bolitar and his clients in check.
The series is produced by Matthew Tinker (Presumed Innocent, Margo’s Got Money Troubles), Harlan Coben (I Will Find You, Run Away), Rick Muirragui (Suits LA, Matlock), and Greg Yaitanes (Citadel, Marshals). Coben is also known for writing books such as Fool Me Once, Run Away, Safe, The Woods, The Innocent, Gone for Good, Stay Close, Hold Tight, The Stranger, Missing You, Just One Look, Caught and I Will Find You.
There has been no trailer so far for the upcoming series so we will have to be on the lookout for an update from Netflix.
