According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Cole Hauser (Dead Man’s Hand, The Ritual Killer) hints at a potential spinoff of the western drama Yellowstone. The romance between Beth Dutton, played by Kelly Reilly (Sherlock Holmes, A Haunting in Venice), and Rip Wheeler played by Hauser could continue past the main series. Yellowstone is set to start production on the final episodes later this year with many fans wanting more. While speaking with Country Living Hauser mentioned that his character and Reilly’s character have a future in the new spinoff created for Paramount+.
Hauser said, “I’m so focused on finishing Yellowstone the way it needs to be finished right now — well, just the show itself. We’ll see where that leads. But I know that there’s some stuff on the horizon when it comes to Taylor’s ideas for Kelly Reilly and myself, and some of the other cast. I’m excited to see where he goes creatively with that. But right now it’s just: Let’s finish strong; let’s do the best we can.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Reilly’s has also hinted her character still sticking around in a proper interview a month ago. Reiley said, “I just care about finishing the main show with as much care and as much passion and as much love as I can muster to put into it. That’s what I care about. I’m sort of prepping for that now and that’s my tunnel vision thing that I care about most. And what goes on beyond that? There are discussions, you know. Don’t believe everything you read. It’s just nonsense. But we’re gonna, you know, let’s wait and see. I don’t have an answer right now. But we’ll see.”
Yellowstone is a Western drama under the Paramount Network created by Taylor Sheridan (Wind River, Hell or High Water) and John Linson (Lords of Dogtown, Sons of Anarchy). The series focuses on the Duttons, a family of ranchers in Montana.
All episodes of Yellowstone are available to stream on Peacock.
