‘Cobra Kai’ Season Six Kicks Off Production

Cobra Kai’s highly anticipated season six is starting to make its way to our screens. While this season is going to be the finale of the series, that has not stopped the cast and viewers alike from getting amped up for the newest season. According to Deadline, a new promotional video dropped on social media and YouTube to officially kick off the news that production has begun. 

Along with the action-packed video setting off the production phase, Deadline has reported that Netflix has also dropped a new first look at the cast of the series. Specifically, Ralph Macchio (The Karate Kid) and William Zabka  (The Karate Kid). Along with this, the two are surrounded by fellow cast members such as Xolo Maridueña (Blue Beetle), Jacob Bertrand (The Swap), Mary Mouser (Frenemies), Tanner Buchanan (He’s All That), Peyton List (Jessie), and Gianni DeCenzo (Burnouts, Liv and Maddie).

The promotional video includes members of the cast and creative team talking to the camera and thanking the fans. It is also followed by some behind-the-scenes glimpses into some combat, scenes, and excitement that the cast is displaying as they announce the upcoming season. Not only that, but the cast of the series praises their fans and calls them “the best fans in the world”

The Television series Cobra Kai is officially described by Netflix as “ an American action-dramedy series that serves as a sequel to the Karate Kid series by Robert Mark Kamen,” it continues: “The series follows Johnny Lawerence, an ex-karate legend, who saves his teenage neighbor, Miguel Diaz, from bullies, causing him to reopen his old Karate Dojo, and reigniting a long-forgotten feud.”

Cobra Kai season five has been streaming on Netflix since September 2022. The latest season, like many other shows that are ramping up production, was delayed due to the WGA/SAG-AFTRA strikes. But, fans should fear not, as the series is still set to premiere this current year, 2024.
