Check Out the First Trailer for Marvel’s ‘Runaways’

Another superhero series premiere is on its way as the first trailer of Marvel’s Runaways has been released. Based on a 2003 superhero comic from Marvel by Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona, Runaways is now Hulu’s upcoming television series according to Entertainment Weekly.

Hulu released the first trailer of the new series, which follows six teenagers from different backgrounds who decide to work together to take down their parents who are a part of an evil cult known as The Pride. The trailer is not that detailed, but it features the six teens trying to find out what their parents are up to until they find them performing a ritual that involves them making a human sacrifice. The excitement starts from there as the trailer jumps around to what is expected in the season.

Created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, this show stars Gregg Sulkin, Virginia Gardner, Rhenzy Feliz, Lyrica Okano, Allegra Acosta, and Ariela Barer as the six super-teens, and Ryan Sands, Angel Parker, Annie Wersching, Ever Carradine, Kevin Weisman, Brigid Brannah, Kip Pardue, James Yaegashi, Brittany Ishibashi, and James Marsters as the evil parents. Marvel boss Jeph Loeb also serves as the executive producer.

According to /Film, creator Schwartz explained on a panel for the Television Critics Association over the summer, “It’s important to us there are no true villains in the show. The book tells the story from the point of view of the kids. It was important to us we take the time to build out the parent characters. Having Brian K. Vaughan in the room with us [allowed us to say], ‘Okay, if you could dig into these stories and these parent characters, what stories do they have to tell?’ The first episode is from the kids’ point of view. The second episode tells the same story from the parents’ point of view and then they connect halfway through.”

Undoubtedly, there is so much more to this trailer that exudes the most suspense for all the waiting fans.

Runaways premieres Tuesday, November 21 on Hulu.
