The BBC today unveiled the cast for the Cold War drama Legacy, an espionage thriller set in 1970s London.
Charlie Cox, Romola Garai, Andrew Scott, Simon Russell Beale, Olivia Grant, Christian McKay and Tessa Peake Jones will appear in the TV film, based on the novel by Alan Judd. Pete Travis, who helmed last year’s “Dredd”, is slated to direct.
Legacy will tell the story of a young spy who discovers an unexpected truth about his father’s past. Screenwriter Paula Milne describes it as “an extraordinary personal twist” on the traditional British spy thriller, with family relationships playing a central role in the story.
The 90-minute movie will air as part of an exploration of Britain’s Cold War history
