According to Deadline, CBS Studios is developing an animated series based on the Among Us video game series. The series already has cast that is set to lead the animated series. The voice cast will include Randall Park (Fresh Off the Boat, WandaVision), Ashley Johnson (The Legend of Vox Machina, The Last of Us), Yvette Nicole Brown (Community, My Dad the Bounty Hunter), and Elijah Wood (Yellowjackets, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers). The animated series is being developed by CBS Studios‘ animation arm Eye Animation Production in partnership with Innersloth.
Among Us is an online multiplayer social deduction game that came out in 2018. It was developed and published by Innersloth. The premise of the game is that players are given a role on a ship with a list of tasks that must be completed. While trying to complete them, there is an impostor among them who sabotages and kills crewmates. The crew wins by either completing all the tasks before everyone is dead or, finding and voting out the imposter.
According to Deadline, the logline for the animated series reads as follows: “Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone. Root out the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to its murderous designs.”
Park will voice the character Red, who is the Captain of The Skeld. According to Deadline, this character is boastful leader. Johnson will voice the character Purple, who is in charge of security. According to Deadline , this individual is a sarcastic character who finds it hard to trust others. Brown will be voicing the character Orange, who is a part of the HR department. As Deadline notes, this character is more of weak-willed type and is prone to fire individuals via email. Lastly, Wood will voice the character Green, who is the designated Unpaid Intern. As Deadline notes, this character is compliant and is just happy to be along for the ride.

According to Deadline, the series is being created and executive produced by Owen Dennis (Infinity Train) with Titmouse serving as the animation studio. Dennis will also executive produce alongside Forest Willard (Among Us Logic), Marcus Bromander (Fleeing the Complex), and Carl Neisser (20th Century Women) of Innersloth.
