CBS has finalized its renewals for the upcoming season, including the renewals of comedy series from Chuck Lorre (The Big Bang Theory), United States of Al , and B Positive, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Both shows released their debut seasons this year.
With a six-episode first season, United States of Al follows a Marine combat veteran readjusting to regular life in Ohio, when he befriends the interpreter who served with him in Afghanistan, Al. While Al ventures to start a new life in the United States, Riley struggles to restart his. The series stars Parker Young (Imposters) as Riley, Adhir Kalyan (Rules of Engagement) as Al, Kell Godd (The Ranch) as Vanessa, and Dean Norris (Breaking Bad) as Art.
B Positive follows a therapist, newly divorced dad, and soon-to-be kidney donor recipient named Drew, who meets Gina, a woman from his past who volunteers to donate her kidney. The series stars (Second Act), Briga Heelan (Ground Floor), Terrence Terrell (Giants), and Thomas Middleditch (Middleditch and Schwartz) as Drew.
