There is a new streaming series coming to CBS All Access entitled Twenty Four Seven from the creative minds of 50 Cent (Power) and T.I. (Dolemite Is My Name, American Gangster), according to Deadline. The drama series is a series based on Notorious C.O.P.: The Inside Story of the Tupac, Biggie, and Jam Master Jay Investigations from NYPD’s First “Hip-Hop Cop” which was published in 2006. Dallas Jackson has been brought on to write the book into television form in addition to taking influences from the source material’s authors, Derrick Parker and Matt Diehl. In addition to being the creator for the series, 50 Cent, or Curtis Jackson, will executive produce in addition to Jackson, Tom Sullivan, Brian Sher (The Trap), and many more.
Twenty Four Seven will follow Derrick Parker who worked as a cop and was involved in handling some Hip Hop’s most delicate cases such as the shooting of Tupac Shakur in New York City in 1994. Parker will be portrayed by rapper T.I. in the series. Currently, there is no announced additional cast. Despite 50 Cent’s past acting work on series he has produced such as Power, it has not been revealed whether or not he will be a piece of this upcoming streaming series’ cast.
There is yet to be an announced premiere date and details on the show’s production following the announcement of CBS All Access’ acquisition of the series. CBS All Access currently offers a library of content in addition to live TV options as well for a subscription starting at $5.99 per month.
