Breaking new for the Pokemon world! Eight beloved seasons are able to stream once again. According to Comicbook, this news comes courtesy of Hoopla Digital, a library-connected app with various content. They’ve partnered up with the Pokemon company and secured a deal, which allows them to stream seasons six through 13. Fans can now relive Ash’s adventures through the battle frontier saga in the Hoenn region all the way to Sinnoh.
“We’re seeing a growing interest in animated and cartoon content with an impressive 22% year-over-year increase in television content borrowed in the genre across the hoopla platform,” Jeff Jankowski, the founder of Hoopla, shared via Comicbook. “As animated content continues to gain popularity in American pop culture, we’re happy to partner with Pokemon and support libraries with an expanded selection as they meet the evolving content needs of today’s patrons.”
According to Comicbook, Pokemon TV app has closed operations earlier this year, leaving fans distraught. Sadly, this was not surprising due to the outdated interface, and this left watching season of the beloved franchise nearly impossible. Now, though, Hoopla Digital is here. All that fans will need to able to access and stream the multitude of contents available on the media platform is a library card. The platform’s BingePass feature allows viewers to enjoy uninterrupted access to their favorite shows. There is a possibility that additional seasons could be added in the near future.
This return to streaming is a boon for Pokemon fans of all ages. Whether you’re a seasoned trainer looking to reconnect with your childhood or a new generation just discovering the wonders of the Pokemon world, these eight seasons offer countless hours of monster-catching fun, heartwarming friendships, and epic battles. Additionally, the first season of the current show of the franchise, Pokemon Horizon: The Series , alongside numerous films are available to stream now on Netflix.
