Peacock releases updates in a Deadline exclusive on their new series The Good Daughter . In a recent article, Deadline tells us more about the casting for the show. Peacock revealed Jessica Biel (The Sinner) was cast as the main character. Fans highly anticipate Biel’s performance as she’s an award-winning actress. We continue to see some familiar faces throughout the series such as  Brendan Gleeson (Mr. Mercedes) who is set to play Rusty, as well as Harper Steele (Will & Harper) who will play Lenore. Some more notable cast members we’ll see are Rose Byrne (Instant Family) and Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus). 

The Good Daughter follows the psychological thriller genre. The series focuses on a mystery of a crime committed against sisters played by Byrne and Fahy. Over the course of twenty-eight years the sisters have banded together to figure out the perpetrator. Only the past comes back to haunt them when the very same crime is committed again. The only difference is this time it’s twenty-eight years later. This leads the sisters to spiral with questions. Could this be a lead in their two-decade long case? Or was this attack premeditated?  

The plot thickens even more as Fahy follows in the footsteps of her father and becomes a Lawyer. With one goal in mind, Fahy must solve her case. Her knowledge could help progress what’s been haunting her for years. The case will push the characters in ways they didn’t expect. Leading to the question of how far is too far.

Along with the cast we’ve also got more information on the crew of the set. With an appearance of Executive Producer and Writer Karin Slaughter (Pieces Of Her). Following Slaughter on the chair of Executive Producers we’ll see Bruna Papandrea (The Luckiest Girl Alive), Steve Hutensky (The Dry), and Casey Haver (Nine Perfect Strangers).
