According to Deadline, Carol Mendelsohn Productions’ just sold another show to NBC.
It looks like NBC just ordered a new legal-themed series, an adaptation of the book Law Man, written by Shon Hopwood.
The book’s plot, and seemingly the show’s, is about a “small-town basketball star who goes from young bank robber to federal prison inmate” and his memories and stories about the time spent there, where he became the greatest jailhouse lawyer America had ever seen.
Carol Mendelsohn (CSI) is set to adapt the show, with Mark Gibson and Philip Halprin executive producing and penning the script alongside Mendelsohn and Julie Weitz.
Just last week, Carol Mendelshon Productions sold a 1960’s set, surf-themed series to The CW, which will also air next season.
