‘Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix’: A Neon-Soaked Throwback to the 1990s

The upcoming animated show Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix will be an adaptation and a spin-off to Ubisoft’s Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. The new trailer for Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix shows off the show’s over-the-top action and humor. The trailer also reveals that the show will feature cameos from other iconic video game characters, including Rayman, Sam Fisher, Ezio Auditore, etc. According to Screenrant, “Together with Ubisoft, this new series is a mash-up of different beloved games that will draw in a wide net of fandoms and will certainly be enjoyable. Netflix’s anime section has a bright future and will certainly propel the company to the top of the anime industry”.

Captain Laserhawk will be set in a dystopian alternative reality, where the United States is replaced by the fictional city, Eden. The trailer also gives us a glimpse of the series’ over-the-top action sequences, which include Dolph fighting off cyborgs with a laser sword and riding a motorcycle through the air. The upcoming series is being produced by Adi Shankar, who is also known for producing Netflix’s Castlevania and Devil May Cry anime series. According to Screenrant, Adi Shanker will work with the Art Director Mehdi Leffad of Arcane: League of Legends.

The actors/actresses that will voice the characters will be Nathaniel Curtis(Witcher: Blood Origin) as Dolph Laserhawk, Mark Ebulue(Northstar) as Marcus Holloway, Adi Shankar(Castlevania) as Niji Six, and Boris Hiestand as Alex. Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix is sure to be a must-watch for fans of the Far Cry games and the ’90s aesthetic.
