The fifth season of Call My Agent! is currently being developed by public broadcaster France Televisions, according to Variety. Having debuted in 2015 on France 2, the series was picked up by Netflix soon after.
Netflix streamed all four seasons of the show, which follows an unhinged team of talent agents through their personal and professional lives. Despite the announcement of the show’s fifth season being in the developmental stages, a film adaptation will be released first and is expected to film before the end of the year or in early 2022. The plot will carry on from the fourth season, with different storylines currently being explored. It is expected to revive the key cast, including French, international, and American stars. Call My Agent! stars Camille Cottin (Dix Pour Cent), Thibault de Montalembert (I Got Life!), Grégory Montel (L’air De Rien), Nicolas Maury (My Best Part), Laure Calamy (Ava), Liliane Rovére (Family Business), and Fanny Sidney (Selfie).
The fifth season of Call My Agent! is slated to take place chronologically after the film adaptation. It’s hoped that most of the recurring cast will return for production. Producer Harold Valentin (Joul Journal Infime) stated of his desires to reunite the close-knit cast, “This show is about family, not a biological one, but one that formed in a professional environment and got stronger together through ups and downs, so of course we want to reunite this family,” via Variety.
