According to Deadline, Brian Gaskill is set to take on the role of “Seth” for the show The Young and the Restless. The actor will be yet another item on Gaskill’s resume, seeing as he is a soap opera veteran. His character, Seth, will meet the character Nikki in AA to kick things off.
According to IMDB, the show The Young and the Restless follows the plot of “Set in Genoa City, Wisconsin, this soap opera focuses on the saga between two wealthy families in the cosmetics industry: the Newmans and the Abbotts. Head the Newman clan is Victor Newman, the arrogant, cavorting billionaire and his wife Nikki. Running the Abbott show is Jack Abbott, the irresponsible playboy and CEO, and his sister Ashley. Most of the show is centered on the competition between the two companies: Newman Enterprises and Jabot.”
IMDB reported that the show is a romance and a drama. It is a soap opera rated PG-13. It is highly rated, with fans praising the show throughout its duration. It began airing episodes in March of 1973 and it still airs new episodes to this day. It is produced by Screen Gems Television, Columbia Pictures Television, and Columbia TriStar Television. The show is also known as The Innocent Years.
Deadline also stated that the soap opera will be the seventh edition to Gaskill’s resume, seeing as he has six others under his belt. Others include Models Inc. as Micheal in 1994, All My Children as Bobby Warner in 1995, Port Charles as Rafe Kovitch in 2001, The Bold & The Beautiful as Oscar Marone in 2003, As The World Turns as B.J. Green in 2005, and Guiding Light as Dylan Shayne in 2007.
Gaskill will begin his debut on the show in the next coming months, says Deadline.
